From beginner triathlete to Ironman finisher, Coach Cami not only got me to 140.6, but had me setting PRs along the way. Cami was always available by text, e-mail, phone or facebook to give me guidance about equipment, training, and race strategy. As a busy professional, life sometimes got in the way of training. Cami was flexible and always willing to re-work my training program to make sure I still hit the key workouts. By the time I walked to the start line I was calm and confident thanks to Coach Cami.
I would truly recommend the services of Wild Blue Racing, in particular Cami Stock. Now that I've had a chance to step back and reflect on the two years we've worked together, I'm struck by how much I've been able to accomplish within such a short time. I have had personal records in all running races, small races up to marathon. And again personal records in all triathlon races, up to a completion of the 2010 Florida Ironman. She has given me pride and confidence, at having accomplished what was undoubtedly the most ambitious athletic goal I have ever set for myself. There is no question that my ironman experience would have been entirely different without her guiding hand. I had zero triathlon experience, zero road biking experience, zero swimming experience and was at best an average recreational runner. All of us have dreams, ambitions, demands and desires...and a 24-hour day to squeeze everything in. In this go-go culture, coaching sessions with Cami helped me clarify and prioritize my desires in my athletic endeavors. She understands the balancing of personal and family needs/goals. I look forward to continuing our successful "partnership" in my athletic career. Thank you Cami Stock!
Cami helped get me from snorkel & goggle "turtle" swimming to rolling more like a "dolphin!" I still have MUCH to improve upon but her positive encouragement, great follow-up notes and drills helped me accomplish my first- ever sprint triathlon—doing my first ever swim in the Gulf! Thank you, Cami!
There are many coaches out there that seem to be offering the same service but that is only how it first appears; they are all different. I originally chose Cami on a recommendation from another athlete and because she placed more emphasis on getting to know me first and then built a realistic training program around my other commitments.
I continue to use Cami because it works and, most importantly, she has the training ability of an angel, keeps me healthy and of course makes me super-fast!!
Cami is the finest coach I have ever worked with. It is rare to meet an athlete who has as much experience as Cami without any ego or arrogance to match it. Cami coaches with instinct and heart, in addition to her years of experience. Because of this, she is able to meet her athletes exactly where they are in their lives, and take them forward by leaps and bounds, while reminding them to enjoy what they are doing, and making sure they stay healthy. When I first started working with Cami, I had so many injuries that I feared she wouldn't know how to train me. Instead, she tailored a program precisely for my body, combining her expertise in multisport training with the unique instinct for understanding my personality, strengths and weaknesses. Because of her, I am doing things today that I never knew would be possible a few years ago. I would recommend her to anyone.
Cami coached me through my first Ironman in Florida '08. I was thrilled with my time and performance! I beat my time goal by an hour and a half. I was so well trained that I felt (relatively!) comfortable the entire race. It was very manageable. It was a first Ironman during my second year of triathlon. Cami put together a training plan for the season - and actually she had me pull back the volume from the training I was doing on my own. I was worried that I wasn't training enough for Ironman, but obviously Cami knew what she was doing. I had an amazing race and season! She also designed really good swim workouts!
When my race times became stagnant, I knew it was time to hire a coach. I wanted someone who would listen to my racing goals as well as understand the demands of a job and family. Cami was a perfect match. I have been working with Cami for over three years now. I run one marathon a year and have steadily increased my PR times on each race. In fact, last year I qualified for Boston, a personal goal since I started running! Her schedules are thorough and reflect my unique needs which include biking and weight lifting. She is easy to communicate with and is always willing to make adjustments when needed. Not only is she a lovely person, Cami is experienced and I recommend her to anyone who asks how I got so fast!
Cami was my swim coach when I was getting ready for my first triathlon. She helped me become a better, more confident and fluid swimmer and became my Tri coach in the summer of '08 when I was training for the NY Tri, my first Olympic. Cami was super sensitive to my schedule (corporate gig + 3 kids under 6!) and my past injuries (metatarsal stress fractures). She developed a great program for me and always kept it fun. Plus, she's very accessible and was so supportive pre/post race. I'm in the best shape of my life and I'm doing 3 races this season and Cami played a big role in helping me get to this point.
